FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who should attend The Adventure Trainer's Lab?

If you TRAIN facilitators and guides in the "traditional use" and/or "amusement device" fields of...challenge course, zip line, canopy tour, adventure park, experiential education and adventure therapy then...this conference is for YOU!

You may work at a...college/university, camp, therapeutic facility, government agency, commercial adventure program, or for a professional vendor, etc..

Or, you have / are pursuing an advanced degree in education or training.

Or, you might provide products, services or training to trainers (and/or) facilitators.

We are offering a discount to qualified trainers! Trainers who meet the ACCT Guidelines for a Qualified Course Professional (QCP): Certification Trainer / Tester, PRCA Trainer Standards or other equivalent are eligible for a discount!

Q. Both of your conference offerings are powered by Open Space.  Please contrast...The Adventure Trainer's Lab with NCCPS: The Facilitator's UnConference.

NCCPS: The Facilitator's UnConference, is entering its 26th year! In this time, a broad range of FACILITATORS who deliver programs have attended including...teachers, adventure program, faith based and corporate facilitators, summer camp, university and mental health professionals, youth-at-risk counselors and high school / college students. While there have been trainers in this mix, the vast majority of attendees have been FACILITATORS who do not train others.

The Adventure Trainer's Lab is designed for those who provide TRAINING to facilitators who work in the categories above and/or challenge course, zip line, canopy tour, adventure park.  Attendees may also be involved in providing products, services or support to trainers and/or facilitators.

There may be some overlap, but a good rule of thumb is that The Adventure Trainer's Lab is for...the trainers that train the facilitators that come to NCCPS: The Facilitator's UnConference.
